Trading Online Voucher

Trading Online Voucher Explained

We’ve been very busy lately quoting a lot of businesses for work under the Local Enterprise Offices (LEO) Trading Online Voucher scheme. However, we’ve also had a lot of conversations with business owners who have heard of it, but not sure what it is, or are not sure if it applies to them.

This voucher scheme has actually been in operation for a few years now, however, previously it covered up to 50% of the cost up to a maximum of €2,500. Since April 7th and until September 30th 2020 though, the percentage has been increased to 90% with the max amount remaining the same. This is to further help businesses who don’t have a proper means of trading online to get that done to help through this covid-19 crisis. The voucher covers a lot things from e-commerce sites, to incorporating online booking and payments systems to digital marketing be it Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or paid advertising. There are some eligibility requirements to avail of the scheme, the main ones are:

  • You must already be in business for 6 months or more
  • You must have less than 10 employees
  • Your previous year’s turnover must not have been over €2,000,000
  • You must attend a free seminar on the scheme (these are run by all the Local Enterprise Offices)

Full details of the scheme can be found on the Local Enterprise website here https://www.localenterprise.ie/Discover-Business-Supports/Trading-Online-Voucher-Scheme-/

We’ve also been working with many businesses not just in Cork, but nationwide, on their applications, and are happy to take any calls or queries anyone may have on the scheme and whether it can be of assistance to them. Just book a call with us below or send us en email, we’ll be happy to help

John.
